Volta
S.A. is a company of long tradition in the local pharmaceutical
industry. Founded in 1950 to contribute to the development of
the pharmaceutical sciences and the public health in the country,
the company has evolved to become one of the major local providers
of medicines, medical supplies and logistic services.
In 1998 the Volta stockholders bought the manufacturing
facilities of Schering-Plough, at the time one of the major
pharmaceutical plant in the local industry. This acquisition
it originated a new company, “Farmindustria S.A.”,
at the date one of the main manufacturers of pharmaceutical
products in Chile.
Today
this new company has been constituted undeniably in guarantee
of quality and service to important international laboratories
which have trusted their rigorous procedures of manufacturing
and quality control in the hands of an experienced work team
supported in a high tech plant.
