To enhance our current business lines, develop new opportunities and expand the range of products and services for our customers, the Group has incorporated two new subsidiaries to the holding company, Inversiones Medley S.A. and Aki Pharm Chile S.A.

Inversiones Medley S.A., provides to the Chilean market important representatives of leading companies in USA and Germany. The products in question are of high standard and incorporate new technologies such as:
- Wellesse, which makes Calcium with Vitamin D3, Glucosamine with Chondroitin and Vitamin D3 in liquid form, which allows consumers an easy dosing and a remarkably higher absorption.
- Pro-Natura, the main actor of the German market products to avoid lactose intolerance.
- ExtendSnacks, US company that offers an innovative line of Snacks (Bars, Shakes and Crisps), which is capable of controlling the levels of blood sugar for up to 9 hours, and include the following certifications (Gluten free, Kosher, No Cholesterol, No Sugar, Low Fat, High levels of protein)

Aki Pharm Chile S.A., a company focused on finding and developing new products in the East, incorporating innovative lines and improving the profitability of our customers. The company currently has five lines of business (supplements, medical supplies, OTC drugs, vaccines and raw material supplies for the pharmaceutical industry and Food). We would like to emphasize that we have offices and staff in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Guangzhou. This gives us the opportunity to provide our customers with greater efficiency and flexibility in communication with our suppliers, control of all stages of production, quality and delivery, as well as the continued research and development of new products for our customers and the market.

In 1998, Volta Laboratory acquires production plant "Schering Plough Laboratories”, one of the most technologically advanced infrastructures in the field of national pharmaceutical industry and Latin America. This acquisition gives rise to Farmindustria S.A., a company that has become a leading pharmaceutical contract manufacturers in the country with GMP certification
